DEMOS
-
|
| Dotty
-demonstrated Donna Kato's new Polymer Translucent medium on a tile
and did several layers(layer, bake, layer, bake). She showed various
uses on rounded surfaces that it might be useful on. She said it bakes
at 350 degrees for 15 minute to clarify (clear). |
| She
also had Kato Poly Paste which she said is used to adhere baked to
unbaked clay |
| Scott
- demonstrated how to make very 'real-looking roses'. He used burgundy
clay and twisted his rose onto 12 gauge wire. The he used a cookie
cutter shape to shape the petal underneath and then finally added
rose leaves to the wire and wrapped this to the main wire! |
| SHARING
- |
| Michelle
- Brought her doll figure complete with joints in the arms and legs.
|
| Ellen
- Brought her felted and clay horse! |
| Scott
- showed his vase complete with various canes to hold the roses! |
| Didi
- bought boxes at the swap meet, and is covering them with fanciful
designs! Mercedes - brought her kaleidoscope from Boston Clay works
that she covered and her fabulous chess set that she has been working
on for a long time. She is planning to enter the set, in this years
OC Fair! |
| Cassie
- Mirror image pieces. She also warns that using the Golden Varnish
with gold leaf actually tarnishes the gold almost instantly. |
| Dotty
- She is sending many of her scopes to a Utah gallery and though she
would show them to us before she shipped them off! She also showed
a book she had made (from a publisher) for her great granddaughter.
It was nicely bound in a material-like cover. |
